I’ll probably get crucified for this, but there are always two sides to a story and that’s the point behind my narrative.
It’s funny how quickly we forget, but yesterday after Tee Billz decided to spread his drawers in plain sight (you can translate that to Yoruba if you want), everyone wanted to crucify Tiwa Savage. How could she have been such a whore, a bad mother, a terrible wife etc.
The memes alone can testify to how easy it was for us to believe Tee Billz… But that was yesterday.

Today, he’s a monster, and all it took was a poorly tied headscarf, less-than usual makeup and a few tears. Let’s not forget the mean looking interviewer.

Like I said, because I strongly believe that there are two sides to every story, here are five moments during Tiwa Savage’s tell all that looked too much like a scene from a Nollywood movie i.e. very very unbelievable.
First was when she said her first instinct after seeing everything he’d written on Instagram was to pray for him. Not anger, just concern over his well-being.

That moment when she said I have never cheated on my husband then broke into tears.

Now if you are smart and watch Criminal Minds or CSI, you would realise that she didn’t emphatically say that she has never had sex with Don Jazzy, Dr. Sid, 2face and others before Tee Billz became her husband. She stuck to the period after marriage.
Smart girl.
The moment when she said he has never abused her physically.

If you follow celebrity gist, like I try to do, you will realise that this was the story before the story, and her interviewer’s expression was on point here for once. Lesson – Nobody is completely useless.
Just think for a minute, a man who is on drugs, has anger issues, alcohol issues, is insecure, jealous and vindictive enough to expose your deepest darkest secrets on social media but doesn’t hit a woman? Maybe… But I don’t buy it.
Which is not to say I don’t get why she denied it. No woman, especially a celebrity/role model wants to admit that she’s knowingly stayed in an abusive relationship, except she’s attention hungry, and Tiwa has our attention already.

They say not to judge but I’m only human, and I have a problem with someone whose main reason for wanting to put an end to her marriage is what people will think of her.
Truth is, Tee Billz might have been right about her paying more attention to the next big hit, rather than her family.
So maybe she hasn’t tried everything…
Then she killed me when she said “I will always pray for him”.

Who is she kidding? He turns her world upside down and we are to believe that in less than 48hrs, she’s calm enough to pray for him in spite of it all.
Seriously? Maybe later, but definitely not now.
So do I blame her, not exactly. Him? Not exactly either. You know who I blame, the interviewer.

However, I do empathise with them ( it’s hard to believe I know), and I hope they each find strength to get through this.
